MESSAGE FROM OWNER

Our Merlin we thought at first could've been trapped behind a box or under something, as we're rearranging furniture & belongings after a move. But there was just absolute silence all weekend, we've not seen him, and we get no response to calling him indoors or out (this makes us think he's hiding and scared). He tends to be active at night, which in a big apt cmplx makes it harder. I'm trying not to think about all the things that could've happened to him, but it makes me more scared for him. He's my baby and I miss him so. I'm disabled due to hip surgery so use a walker and can't move around much, and I live with my disabled son, who needs a lot of care. We do have a caregver who is doing a lot of the searching, and he's worried too--he's the Food Man! Any help or hope for our Merlin is much appreciated.

DESCRIPTION

3 years old, domestic shorthair, neutered, all black except for a few white hairs at his neck, yellow eyes, sturdy body, weighs 11 pounds, soft trilling cry, tiny purr, friendly but maybe disoriented and scared (he's a former feral who hasn't been outdoors in two years), left ear has a slight tip from frostbite not a cmmunity cat tip.

Have you posted on NextDoor, checked with the shelters or vets, or put fliers around? I’m sure you have. Sending all my love and hope he comes home.

Bea Porter this comment is inappropriate. You know NOTHING about me or my lost cat Merlin and do not deserve to know anything about me or my lost cat Merlin. Nonetheless, in reply to your barely literate note: Merlin is a former feral who is still quite young and is still in some ways adjusting to life as an all-indoor cat. We still haven't determined how he was able to get out, and unfortunately lost a lot of time searching indoors for him before we turned to outdoors. We still love him and will do our best to find him, using the most sensible suggestions and our common sense. Now this is more than you deserve, and I am done with your lack of consideration.
