Message from Finder

This bird was found by a local birding group in the trees in Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve. It was very vocal, but flew further into the vegetation before noon.

Marisa Felix this is a lovebird, not a species of parrot or parakeet thats established anywhere in southern california. Closest established population is in arizona and those are peach faced lovebirds. This one was also alone, no others were spotted or heard anywhere near it, in a location that has birders regularly that would report a unique sighting like this. I just want to make sure if someone is looking for this bird they can see this posting.
