Found/Stray Cat in Lake Elmo, MN 55042

FOUND CAT between Neal and Manning near I94. This sweetheart has been hanging around our yard multiple times in the past couple of weeks. Last night she came to our back door and meowed to come in for four hours. We have a dog who doesn't get along well with other animals, and I'm also allergic to kitties, so I resisted bringing her inside until it started storming. When she kept crying on our step rather than heading off for a home of her own we brought her in the hse and we currently have her in our guest room. She is incredibly affectionate and wants to cuddle. We took her in to the vet this morning to check for a microchip. She has one, but it is not registered. Our close neighbors don't know who she is (although we will ask around some more). I realize she may be an indoor/outdoor cat but we are right next to I94 and I don't feel right about letting her back out so near to traffic. I just want to make sure she ends up safely with her family. 💞 Please contact me if you think you might know who she belongs to! Disclaimer: I'm pretty sure she's female, but she won't let me get a good look without clawing me. 😽
