Message from Owner

Hello everyone! Our beloved cat, Chai, has gone missing. He is a 1-year-old neutered indoor/outdoor cat who always comes home, but he didn’t return after going outside and we’re very worried. Chai is playful, vocal, friendly, and curious. If you see him, he may respond to his name, but he can also be a little shy in unfamiliar situations. Please don’t chase him, as he may run, hide, or think you’re playing with him. If possible, take a photo, note the exact location, and contact us right away. Please check under decks, bushes, porches, parked vehicles, garages, sheds, and other small hiding places around the area. Even if you think you’ve only seen a cat that looks similar, we’d really appreciate you letting us know. We miss our baby boy so much and just want him home safely. Thank you for keeping an eye out and for sharing this post.

*Keep trying what's listed....All the best in your beautiful cat's return,~💜💜 **Cats that get outside, they tend to panic & hide, usually close to home. When it's dark out, go outside with a flashlight or headlamp & look under every bush, vehicles anything they might go to for safety around your home. Watch for their Eyes to light up with the beam of the flashlight. Let neighbors know, they sometimes will get locked in an open shed & Put posters up. Leave out some bedding/clothing of theirs & yours, but NOT the litter box. Some folks feel putting the litter box out has helped, you will have to decide. Going out with a bag of treats OR whatever your cat loves to eat... calling their name. IF at all possible to leave a window or door open, when it's quiet many have come back. Continue looking & calling. The cat is scared & hiding & may have been chased. REPEAT, REPEAT, REPEAT If possible consider building a Catio - so much safer for kitties who like the sights/smells of outdoors. attached is one website to build, there are many - google or fb has many showing how to build one. https://thefurbearers.com/.../catio-season-why-cat.../

Likely within 5 or 6 houses away. Ask neighbours to check sheds, garages and under decks and bushes. Go out with flashlight when quiet and dark. Get posters up asap using zip lock bags. Leave soiled article of your clothing outside to draw home. Leave door open a few inches and kitty may walk inside typically between 2 and 4 am. Motion lights and security cameras are really helpful. Make sure your microchip information is up to date or it will be useless. Good luck!
