Search your kitties territory (can be up to a 1,500 foot radius around your home/apartment) - in/under sheds and decks, neighbors' garages, barns, up trees and roofs, in drains, roadside and every nook that it could seek refuge. Best time to search is at night because it’s easy to spot cat eyes with a bright flashlight in the dark. You will get a reflection from the eyes. For neighbors not on social media, knock on their doors and ask to search their property if possible. Ask if anyone feeds cats outside as kitty might be there. Hand out and post laminated, readable LOST fliers with pic and phone number on STOP signs in its territory to get important sightings. Go out with a container of its food, shake it and calmly call it to come eat. Stop and listen for meows. Put outdoor camera on your home or apartment window to spot the kitty. Put a cat trap from tractor supply ($35) with human canned tuna inside at back of trap to catch it. Place trap where kitty got out. That’s where they always return to at night when the world has gone to sleep and it is quiet out. For expert advice and support on kitty recovery, go to LostCatsGeorgia.com and register (even if not in GA). It is a free service. Report lost cat to county animal control and visit them.
