If the cat has one, it’s likely a pet and not lost. **Scan for a Microchip**: If the cat doesn’t have visible ID, you can have it scanned for a microchip at a local vet (emergency vets are open 24/7), pet store, shelter, or one of the shelter’s Microchip Checkpoint Partners across Mecklenburg County (see link below). You can also call 311 to request an officer to come to your home to scan the cat for a microchip. you can take it to any vet and it will microchip scan it for free thank you for being a kind human. Please keep this baby safe.🙏🐾🙏
