If safe/possible, be sure to leave a window or door or garage door cracked open so that s/he can get in if s/he returns anytime of the day or night. put out some of her bedding, or your worn clothing that S/he’s familiar with to help her find her way home through scent. The jury still out if putting out the litter box helps, but could leave out. Place a Strong Smelling can of tuna as well. If she’s hiding or injured, it’s best to look out at night when it’s quiet by using a flashlight to see the reflection of his eyes In various hiding spots. Call her/his name calmly, shake a bag of treats, and listen for her/him, could be very faint noises. Put up posters in the area and be sure to talk to neighbouring buildings. I understand that “indoor only” cats don’t typically travel too far away (a couple of house over in all directions) when they’re scared they just rather hide. Just get out there and start looking as s/he’s probably no further than couple houses over in all directions hiding. Post in your community’s Facebook group if there is one... Not sure what else to suggest… I hope you find your kitty 🙏🏻🐾💕
