shared and per advice from a trapper put out the litter box along with a piece of your clothing they say it helps them find their home, also many flyers and at night when it is quiet constantly call her/his name that's how I found my cat under a car

Go out at night when it’s quiet and call for him/her. Sit there and keep calling him/her. It may take a couple of hours. Look under bushes with a flashlight. Look up in trees, maybe he got up into one and too scared to come down. Put something that smells like you out with a can of tuna. Put up fliers and ask your neighbors to make sure he/she’s not locked up in their garage or sheds. Call local vets and shelters. Good luck.
