Jeana Rawa LOL I don't know girl I see so much error in the systems that are used. Evidenced by: Overflowing kennels at the shelters. So many dogs on the e-list that people scream about weekly. 200 plus dogs being attacked and killed by Coyotes MONTHLY in Maricopa County alone. So many cats and dogs being hit and killed by cars or injured and never being found by their owners at Arizona Humane. Owners being given the wrong info on day one by so many people in the rescue community. Told to run to the shelter while their dog is less than 1 mi from home. Wasting an hour or two to follow instructions from someone who's done zero research most of the time. Meanwhile their dog dies of heat stroke in someone's yard. The countless owners that never see their pets again. I mean don't get me wrong compared to other states we have a really good system for Lost Pet return in Arizona. But I have yet to see anyone willing to get together and tear the system apart Realistically look at the flaws, The errors The lesser effective things that are being shared so we can improve the numbers. Until we see that nothing changes. Repeating the same systems and processes, Wanting to be right instead of wanting to find what really works Because we've been doing this for 20 years ... There's such a lack of Being teachable, A willingness to admit systems that are being used may not be the best in this day and age, Lack of willingness to investigate, and update systems. Costing so many lives weekly. People are going to do what they do. People are going to believe what they believe. But egos are costing lives. People want to believe they are right instead of looking for where they are wrong and making the changes so desperately needed. Dogs and cats die every week because of it. I don't know I thought the goal was to save pets. Apparently it's not.

Zoe Ramirez hey dogs are dropping dead from heat exhaustion right now. There were two dogs lost in Sun City both of heat exhaustion within a day of each other. The owners are absolutely devastated. The landscapers left the gate open. Also in that area as you know there are coyotes and they don't play at all. Please get your dog one of these collars so if he gets out again people can simply call you right away. Little dogs are extremely susceptible to heat exhaustion since their bodies are close to the ground and they have to pant to cool their bodies down they're sucking in the hot air that comes off the ground which can be close to 170° so it happens really quickly.
