Post on Nextdoor in Lost and Found Pets group,in dog groups, post on Neighbors app. Petcolovelost 24Petconnect, LostmyDoggie offer free flyers for download. Many animal shelters post their animals on these sites, but they don't post all of them,go in and check the shelter a couple of times a week

Put up flyers in the area where the dog is lost and was last seen. File a Lost report with the local animal shelter, and check the shelter a couple of times a week, bring proof of ownership; Vet bills, pictures,

Put his unwashed towels outside on a hanger on a fence, windowsill, deck, fire escape, put its owner's or favorite person's unwashed clothes outside on a a clothing line,a hanger on the edge of the roof,a fence, out a window, the scent will travel and help guide the dog back home. Wash the items when the dog is found.

Check the surrounding shelters every day, not just the one in your city. Someone may have picked the dog up and not live near you, then dropped the dog at a shelter near them. It’s easy to do, go on their websites and scan the pictures. Also, go in person sometimes they hold dogs in the back that are not in the pictures. And also put posters up, because not everyone is on social media.

General information: Set up a scent station. Get a scent that the dog is familiar with out in front of the house. (EX. Worn clothing / shoes from family member dog lives with). Hang it out high so that the smell can travel and guide the dog back home. Keep an access point open in case the dog returns. Please post signs with the dogs' picture and your contact information on the sign. Post these signs all over as if someone spots your dog the person can contact you and provide a location of where the dog is. (Not everyone is on Social Media) Ask your neighbors to check their doorbell or house cameras (if applicable), sheds and garage. Call or go to the Animal Shelter in your area and tell them that your dog is missing and to see if it has been picked up.
