Message from Owner

I've had this little man for 12 years, he and I have been through a lot and I would greatly appreciate any help in bringing him home. He is up-to-date on his shots, and he is very friendly/food motivated - although too many pets on the stomach may activate aggressive play mode :D. There was a car near his last known location that stopped for 3-4 minutes before leaving, but I can't see from the video if they took him, it may just be coincidence.

I'm offering $500 cash, no questions asked, if you can return him to me or provide info that directly leads to his safe return.

He's very experienced with the outdoors, he's been in the area for about 2 years. I'm leaning towards him being stuck, or being taken, sadly. There aren't any real predators in the immediate area, and he's spent part of his life on a farm in the woods of Virginia, so predators are something he's capable of handling/avoiding. I have a video of a car that stopped near where he may have been, but the video isn't clear enough to prove that he was taken or not. I will say that the area that the car stopped was an abandoned house, and other neighborhood cats tend to hang out there, so the car was kind of suspicious, but technically I did not observe them doing anything wrong. They may have just been looking for something in their car. It's possibly just coincidence, I'm trying to stay positive. He has a chip, I've already alerted the chip company, and marked him as missing. My hope is that IF someone took him, they're benevolent and take him to a vet where I believe the vet will scan him and contact me.

We put out all the scents. Old blankets, our unwashed clothes, his scratch post, his empty dirty litter box, vacuum dust etc. My nextdoor neighbor would see him trying to return during the day while we were at work. Then get scared and run off into nearby woods. I started setting my alarm for 3am while it was quiet and go out calling him. Finally after 5 days I heard him crying in very thick bushes Nextdoor to our house. I saw his eyes with my flashlight. I had to literally crawl to get him. He was like afraid to move. I finally got him . They usually don’t travel far. They will hunker down close by.
