There are two animal shelters that handle Hayward. Go to them in person and look. File a lost report at each shelter..East County Animal Shelter in Dublin, and Hayward Shelter.

Shared. Post Phoebe on Nextdoor as well and check for updates on both websites. Be sure to check their list of found pets, in case Phoebe has already been found. Check the shelters frequently, both in person and online. File a missing report while you're there. Contact local rescue groups just in case. Not everyone checks social media, post flyers in the area. Include veterinary offices and pet stores when you post the flyers. Ask your neighbors to check their garages, back yards, storage sheds, under porches and crawl space under the house, bushes and trees, under parked vehicles, etc. Be there with a carrier and a bag of treats (or an open can of food and a spoon) when they check. Shake the bag (or tap the can) while calling out to her. Keep your voice calm. Any stress in your voice will alert her to stay hidden. Search around the neighborhood when it's quieter - the time when it's getting dark works well. Search out of the way spots, bushes and trees, and under parked vehicles. And check areas where she might be looking for food, water, and shelter (like the dumpster area of a restaurant, for example). Keep in mind that cats can squeeze into very tight spaces! So if in doubt, check it out. Take a flashlight, the carrier, and the bag of treats (or the can and spoon). Good luck 💖
