MISSING CAT If any one sees our girl , please bring her ! Our kids are very sad and her kitties miss her too. She is an indoor/outdoor cat. She likes to be out but always comes back. It’s been too long now we are scared something happened to her or someone has her confused for a stray cat. I have attached a picture of her paws all of them are pink expect for one in the back it’s black. Her tail is striped black and the tip is completely black. She is very lovable and will go up to you, that’s why we think she could be with someone. She is spayed.

Info for lost indoor/outdoor cats……. Pass out flyers to all your neighbors, let them know your cat is missing & ask them to open any sheds or garages for 10 mins & walk away. If your cat got trapped inside, while exploring an open shed/garage, then hopefully it will come out. Ask neighbors to check their security cameras and keep watch for your cat moving through their yard at night by way of the cameras. Put up brightly colored posters on poles surrounding your neighborhood. Cover them in clear pack tape to keep dry. Also, Beware that you will get texts from scammers wanting you to text codes or do “xyz” to prove you are owner. A new scam is to call from a pet hospital’s sed phone number and ask for payment up front for your “severely injured”pet. Hang up & call the pet hospital directly or go in person. A person who truly has your cat will only ask you to show them photos of your pet off your phone. Also, people will tell you how they used a search agency to find their pet. Also, a scam to take your money. Most of those services are not even in the TriState. Exception is, Reaves Recovery. They are here in Cincinnati area, but do charge a fee since they are a business. File a Lost cat report with Cincinnati Animal CARE or your local animal shelter & area rescues. Stray hold is only 3 days in Ohio before animal can be adopted out. Local shelters often have lost & found Facebook pages. When you find your cat, please consider making it an indoor only cat. Just too many dangers out there. Hope you find your kitty!

Here are a few things you can try. Cats usually don’t go far. They just hide well. Cats are very active at dusk and dawn. So first of all you can go out and call for him. You can put his food/water, and lots of cat nip outside your house to help draw him back. Also, put your cat's bedding that has your cat's scent on it outside to attract your cat back to your home. Also putting your own unwashed clothes or bedding out . Cats run on scent and this is highly effective in luring your cat back home .PetMD backs this up, can help lure the cat back home, as it's a comfortable and familiar smell. Shake the treat/food container outside. Check garages, especially under porches and decks, dense bushes, etc. Get one of those strong flashlights they will catch a cat's reflective eyes two blocks away and save you tons of time!!! Do not leave the food out overnight as it will attract other animals that can scare the kitty away. Go to your neighbors and let them know your kitty got out and give them your contact info. Walk your neighborhood and talk to people as you can. Take a flyer TO your local vets office and shelter a face is better than a thousand words of description and check every couple of days in person if possible Sometimes it can take weeks or months to find your kitty. Also post with Pawboost and Sam the Parrot about your missing cat. Many times cats are found within a couple hundred feet of their homes. Post fliers around your neighborhood with your phone number that people can call day or night. And talk to your mail carrier. They see lots of animals. If they see a strange kitty around, they may recognize it as yours. Make sure you call local animal shelters, etc Best time to look is between 1-6AM Get a humane trap ASAP! This it's the best chance at retrieving your cat. Line it with newspaper. The ONLY food you leave out should be in that trap. Do not leave the trap set for long periods of time unattended, especially overnight. The most importantly do not give up hope! Open your garage door a little. Don’t put the litter box out. 🙏🏻Also take a flashlight out at night and look in and under things to see if you can see the kitty’s eyes.

Look at night with a flashlight while calling her name. Look especially under bushes and in neighbors yards garages and sheds. Look up in trees, Leave something outside with her scent on it like her bedding. Leave something outside with your scent on it like an unwashed piece of clothing. Leave out smelly cat food. Hang signs with her photo. Call and visit local shelters and veterinary offices. Good luck!🍀

Be sure to start your ground search immediately because cats are usually hiding very close to home, at least for the first few days. Get a high powered flashlight and search overnight under cars, decks, sheds, inside garages, up trees. Give flyers to all of your neighbors and ask permission to search their properties. Post big & bright Lost Cat neon posters at the intersection and put your dirty clothes near where the door where she escaped to help lure her home. If you can, leave your garage door open a bit so she can get inside. You may also want to set up a feeding station with a wildlife camera and when you see her eating there, put out a humane trap to capture her. It can take weeks or months to track lost cats down so please don't give up. 😺
