Put some of your dirty laundry outside. The smell will travel for miles and hopefully guide them back home on their own💖

Borrowed tips from another. Supervise while considering, as in some areas, some tips could also attrack unwanted visitors. Hi! 🐈Lost Cat tips/ideas. ⏰*TIME is important 🛑NO kitty litter! See below why. *Instead hang out clothing with your human scent ( dirty *socks* etc) replace daily. **Your kitty may still be close by. #1hiding spot under stairs/decks #2 in or under sheds/garages #3 in or under cars. Get a bright 🔦flashlight use day or night, some cats will not meow to give away their hiding spot as they are in survival mode. 👀Talk/Call calmly softly+shake treats. Listen. Repeat. **POSTERS/FLIERS DOOR TO DOOR **Include phone # for quick contact** when a sighting happens. Also put up on poles/mail boxes. *☎️Ask your neighbors to check their sheds, baby barns & garages as kitty may have been LOCKED😭 inside. *It is best to call for kitty late at night or early morning as they will usually hide during the daylight. **Sometimes, if you can leave your door/window open, they will come back in on their own. Just LOCK UP any other pets in another room. **Please post to your personal fb page. Set to public so we can share it. **Contact local vets, animal controls, SPCA, shelters. Kijiji. 🎵Radio . **Consider asking to borrow a humane Live Trap & Cam. 🐈*Good luck & never give up🐾 **👀 and post in Any 🏡community group that allows! ** 🛑 Kitty litter isnt always recommended by any trained animal rescue or trappers as it can also attract unfixed territorial cats and predators to the area. In cities or urban areas, less likely to get predators so may be ok under supervision. Other ideas to use dirty laundry with human scent replaced daily. POSTERS/Flyers door to door most effective way to spread the word, asking people to check sheds, garages. Check local rescues, vets and animal services daily in case someone picked up and turned kitty in to them. 🙏🐾🐈❤

It’s so important to keep searching. Indoor only cats go into survival mode. She will be close by, afraid and hiding. Check your yard thoroughly behind/under everything like decks, steps, vehicles, window wells, tarps/bbq covers/patio furniture, sheds/garage, up trees and shrubbery (pay close attention to decks & steps) then move outward to your neighbour’s (front/back/sides) expanding your search. They stay very close to home and typically within a few houses. Place some comforting items with your/her scent out, like dirty clothes or bedding. Open your windows a little too, to allow the air & scent out. Scent travels! You could try taking a little bit of her dirty litter and placing some in a smaller container out. Because they’re in survival mode they usually will NOT respond to you calling and will only come out when she feels safe to do so or gets hungry enough. She’ll likely remain in a frozen state and not make a peep or sound (even two feet in front of you). If no success in finding her during the day, go when it’s darker and quiet, with a good flashlight (to reflect the eyes) and check all the areas listed above. Grab a bag of her favourite treats with you, gently shaking it and very calmly call her name. Good idea to get large neon posters up and talk to your neighbour’s. Keep checking lost/found pages, community page and ACCC. Don’t give up searching! Praying your sweet little Baloo is found safe & soon! 🙏🐾❤️🙏

I know this is not ideal, but if you can, leave your door open a little bit and put out your worn clothes. We did this last month and our cat came home in the middle of the night after missing for almost 3 days.
