Good news! We found Cas. Retraced our steps at the break of dawn and found him a few hours later. He was hungry and a little dehydrated, but otherwise in good shape. Thanks all for the concern!

Owners - Go back to the location where the dog went missing as the dog will usually circle back to the location where they first went missing eventually. Stay there - in one localized area and set up a scent station using a scent that the dog is familiar with - worn clothing or shoes from the owner. Hang that scent out high so that it can travel and guide the dog back to that area. Post fliers with your contact information and dogs picture in the location that the dog went missing --especially for those not on social media. If the dog is spotted the information can help provide what direction it was traveling. Check with local animal shelters in case he was picked up. Prayers your dog is found safely. Also do you know anyone with a thermal camera drone? That can assist with an aerial search.
