If chipped make sure owner contact info is current with chip company. File online lost reports with shelters. Post on Nextdoor and post flyers. Check Craigslist lost and found and pets for sale ads. Keep checking shelters online and in person.

You have no phone numbers in the post for people to contact you right away do not rely on these comments because many people do not get notifications or they get them a few days later when it will be too late.In ALL Post put MISSING with date and time did put South Sacramento/Meadowview or Pocket and best #'s to call if there are potential spottings so you can go immediately it's critical.DO NOT Respond to any codes it's people trying to scam you. Put on Nextdoor App daily every other so nobody forgets.If there's no comments on the Post or updates they will just keep dropping down the news feed and you know how many there are they will get lost.Put on Neighborsring App,South Sac Lost and found pets Facebook group as well as Sacramento Lost and found animal Facebook group.File lost report with Frontstreet shelter and check their website several times a day. Start updating around 1200 When public can start bringing them in... Do not rely on the websites as the deceased will not be on there.Even if microchip still go in show them pictures and take a microchip Id if has one..... Call microchip company double check it got registered and they have all your information entered correctly and report missing.EVERY Owners responsibility and this is separate from filing lost report with shelter
