A few suggestions: Some other places to post are Nextdoor.com, https://www.facebook.com/groups/LostandFoundPetsThurstonCounty/, Craigslist (community), and Lostmydoggie.com. Please leave info at local vets, and at Animal Services in Lacey, even if after-hours (360-352-2510), or ONLINE: https://jointanimalservices.org/lost-found/. You can also look at those pages to see if anyone posted a "found" dog.
Big neon signs placed in the area and flyers handed to neighbors really help. Not everyone thinks to check the internet. Signs should be simple: Lost Dog, picture, phone number(s).
If your dog is chipped, please make sure your info is current & report the dog as lost to the chip company.
Leaving their bedding or some of your (unwashed) clothing where the pup ran from gives them a scent to return to.
Please be aware that your pup may be in "fight or flight" mode, and may run from you when called. Please don't yell or chase the pup. If the pup is spotted, better to sit down, shake a treat bat or put some food on the ground and let the pup come to you.Read More
Any new pet added within 2 miles of your location will be automatically shared to your Nextdoor feed.
