Kim Sal The police would never, ever tell you not to chip your cat. There is now a fine of £500 for anyone who doesn’t get their cat chipped. Good luck Let’s hope if he is found the person will know you are his owner, but without a chip that’s not going to happen.

Helen Clay maybe don't judge if you don't know full fact, not that's it's any of your business we was told by the police for safety reasons not to chip our cat hence why amber was an indoor cat. If you have nothing helpful to say maybe keep yourself opinions to yourself ?! Thank you

Always best to drop flyers (with photo of cat) through letterboxes around your area asking everyone to open and check their sheds,garages etc., Not everyone is on Facebook so your post will not be seen by everyone. Cats are notoriously nosey and will enter through an open door and get accidentally shut in. Hopefully chip is uptodate. 🤞

Give all details of Amber to the local postal sorting office and also to your own postman/postwoman. Posties are great as they go everywhere and see all. Good luck 🐈
