Owners - Go back to the location where the dog went missing as the dog will usually circle back to the location where they first went missing eventually. Stay there - in one localized area and set up a scent station using a scent that the dog is familiar with - worn clothing or shoes from the owner. Hang that scent out high so that it can travel and guide the dog back to that area. Post fliers with your contact information and dogs picture in the location that the dog went missing --especially for those not on social media. If the dog is spotted the information can help provide what direction it was traveling. Check with local animal shelters in case he was picked up. Prayers your dog is found safely.Read More
The Ring doorbell app community works like Next-door app. Please post on the NEXTDOOR app too in lost and found pets group. Ring , It’s called Neighbors . It’s free and you do not need to own the doorbell to post on it. Post your pet is lost/found on there and maybe someone’s already seen your pet or found your pet and has posted on there. It’s really popular for lost and found and loose pets. when you make your post, make sure your “contact author” is turned on before posting and list your street /cross street because it’s very anonymous. It will not show names or location of you or other neighbors. And a couple people from the same family may be responding to your post ..and check your comments throughout the day
Any new pet added within 2 miles of your location will be automatically shared to your Nextdoor feed.
The post will automatically update when a pet is reunited.
