Tonight after dark go out on your yard with a bag of kitty treats and a flashlight. Walk through your yard shaking the kitty treats bag. Use the flashlight to look in the bushes to see if your cat is hiding. And our cats usually don’t straight further than 5 to 7 houses from their own. File a missing cat report with Norfolk animal care center. Visit the shelter in person see if your cat has been brought in. Check several times a week. If the cat is chipped, make sure your contact information is up-to-date with the chip registry. Print flyers with your cat picture on it and your contact information. Take them around to your neighbors and tell them to call you if they see your cat. Look under porches decks crawlspace is anywhere a cat could hide. If a cat is in a close shed or outbuilding, you cannot hear the cat crying to get out unless you’re standing right next to it.
