If indoor only cat. Leave an attached garage cracked open, window or door about a foot 24/7 for a few days. Keep it quiet outside during the dark hours so she feels safe to return. Soft calls sitting down from outside the door on and off. See more steps on this site and also indoor only lost cat behaviors and steps. Fliers door to door in a 5-7 house radius of your home. Easiest thing to do and quickest is to leave cat alone and leave an open access 24:7 for cat to get into. They usually return that way within 3 days-See more steps @Pet-trackerinc.org

I'm off Terrace I'll keep an eye out. But she's most likely hiding close by. Post fliers door to door and ask your neighbors to check their garages and sheds etc. Cats often get trapped. Go to your shelter PRAS at Jefferson ave and Briarfield rd. Make a report then check back often and always in person. Follow this site Laura Jean has valuable advice.

Put his dirty litter box out ASAP, put out some wet stinky canned food tunafish is always great, something with your scent on it like a blanket put your that out, they come out at night mostly when it’s quieter keep calling him shaking treats leave the garage cracked if you can, keep calling.... cracked if you can, keep calling..…

I lost my white male cat and he was gone for over a month. I made flyers with his pictures and our phone number and went around the neighborhood, asking everybody that I could see and giving out the flyers. I also went to nearby veterinarian offices and asked them if I could hang up the flyers. Petsmart let me hang one up too. I went regularly to the spca, to look for him. You cant rely on them ,by just calling them. I went out everyday, finally somebody said they saw him outside an abandoned house. I rented a cat trap from the spca a d put food in The next morning he was inside. Please dont give up, you have to be active looking for him. He might be locked in somebodies garage or shed. If you live in a house ,put his catlitter out on the porch, people have said that helps , look in the newspaper in the lost and found , and research this side here, sometimes people post found animals. I hope you will find your cat

Standard suggestions (change the pronouns as necessary): Indoor cats don't typically go far - put her litterbox out and anything with her scent on it, and be sure to continue putting food/water out for her. If you have a trail camera (or can borrow one), set it up. Leave your garage or screened in porch open in case she shows up in the middle of the night. Ask any neighbors with Ring doorbells or security cameras to check their footage since she disappeared. Be sure to file a missing report with the shelter - go there and check every couple of days as the shelters are all currently short staffed. Notify area vets, and if you have an HOA, ask them to send a blast to residents. If any of your neighbors have had crawlspaces, garages, or sheds open or any construction, make sure she hasn't gotten closed up somewhere. Go out after dark with a flashlight calling for her and shaking her favorite container of treats. Post flyers in the neighborhood and go door-to-door, talking to your neighbors and handing out flyers. Ask kids in the area to keep a look out for her. Post her on Nextdoor.com, Pawboost.com and on Lost and Found Pets Hampton Roads Facebook page as well as any Lost and Found Pets Facebook pages specific to your locality. If she's microchipped, be sure to notify the registry - and make certain your contact information with the registry is current - so many microchipped animals cannot be returned to their families because their contact information is out of date or the microchip was never actually registered.
