I think the neighbor took him. They said that he was originally theirs to one of our other neighbors, but I had posters posted everywhere when I found him all up and down our street on Powers ferry Road at the end of our road on the stop sign. I had posted signs on my mailbox with phone numbers and no one ever came forward. I took him for a walk in the neighborhood and someone tried to say it was their dog, but they had no proof of ownership. One picture from literally like that day they took him from me and then several days later when it was freezing outside, he showed up in my backyard, which is gated and locked on a leash at my back door. There is no way he could’ve gotten into my yard unless someone put him there. The only thing I could think is maybe one of my other neighbors may have seen him and assumed that he was just my dog and placed him in my yard. I really thought that he did not have an owner. I have spent well over $1000 on vet bills he has had surgery and is on antibiotics currently. Now he’s gone and there are signs on my mailbox stating that he needs , but I guess whoever has him really doesn’t care because I had rather give them the and his belongings and him be comfortable and happy than them. Just ignore the whole situation and him become sicker again. The problem is with his gland as he cannot express it himself, and it swells up to the point of where he had a rupture. I’m really sad and heartbroken. I certainly don’t want to covet someone else else’s pet… but I feel like if they were the owners, they could have gently walked up here or even left a note in my mailbox. I walk him in our neighborhood almost every single day and no one has ever said a single word towards claiming him. I have security cameras at my house and no one has ever showed up here not once we are peaceful people so if the owner showed up, I would certainly have returned their dog. Now he’s bonded with my big dogs and my big dog is heartbroken. He is very sick too, and he has cried every day. I wish people could just be peaceful and speak together as opposed to just acting shady.
