Put out unwashed laundry around the home, never the litter! Cats that escape are usually close but scared (or trapped in someone’s shed or garage). Go out very late at night and call softly and calmly. Then listen carefully. Shake treats, tap a can, whatever normally makes them come running to you. Use a flashlight to look into bushes and under patios at night. Many cats come back around the house in the middle of the of the night so cameras help! Also, posters! Taped up as well as hand-delivered to neighbours… nothing beats having more eyes out in the area they escaped from! (And not everyone is on Social Media!!) Good luck and don’t give up hope 🍀 🤞🏻💕 Indoor cats that get out go into “survival mode” so don’t be alarmed if they aren’t acting like themselves at first :)

Call this shelter list daily and post fliers as they're surprisingly successful in recovering lost pets. Also post on PetFBI, facebook, Pawboost, Petco lost pets, and call your local police department via the non-emergency number in case someone reported having found your pet. Also put out some of the pet's favorite food, treats, a bowl of milk and an open can of tuna or salmon on the front and back porches as they sniff out fish and milk from afar. Then go to all of your own, and, your neighbors bushes because they love to hide behind shrubs that line people's homes. Also look under all decks where they might go when scared and seeking shelter. Finally, good luck, you are both in my prayers.
