Update on the two dogs. We rescued these two dogs on 8/29 these girls were abandoned at someone house. The owner of the house gave them away to a friend of a friend but clearly they did not commit and were once again abandoned and that’s when we found them 8/31. In the afternoon animal control was called by our complex but no one came that day. THEY ARE NOT LOST, it has been confirmed they’ve been abandoned twice. They are good dogs with lots of energy but are well behaved after getting comfortable/settled friendly with multiple dogs (boy and girls) and people they’ve been introduced to. Ride very well in the car. Both dogs are most likely very young The one with floppy ears most likely less than a year old and the pointy eared one is probably 1 or 2. We are trying to find a shelter that will accept them or a loving home as we don’t have the appropriate space for them. But seeing how they’ve been abandoned twice I’ll have to try and come up with a fee or somehow get a background check with the help of a shelter. Please let us know if there are any resources or rescue services we can surrender them to asap that are NO . I know it difficult, I’ve contacted over 15 and have been turned away or waiting on reply’s. By the 10th I’ll unfortunately need to take them to BARC as we do not have the space or time to fully care for these angels.

Just suggestions to possibly help find the owners: Please check for a chip. Any vet or petco should be able to do this for free. Have them scan the whole body as chips can move. Check/post on next door app. Check post on pawboost, lost & found pets of Cypress. I know you posted on the fb page, just checking if you looked through them to see if anyone has posted already looking for them. You might also try walking them in the area you found them to see if they lead you to their home. If possible can you put up posters and/or knock on doors near where they were found for people not on social media. You can also check area vets to see if they know the dog, anyone has come looking for it, or if you can put up a flyer there. Make sure anyone claiming to be the owner has proof (pictures/vet bills/etc) Thank you so much for keeping them safe and trying to find the owners.
