Message from Owner

Please if anyone has any information please please call or text at anytime. On 3/11 Max and I were taking a nap behind smart and final on redonda ave and 7th st Around 11-12 am he was taken from me along with all of our belongings which were 1 suitcase, a bike and his bike trailer which is a Schwinn and is blue. Some individuals or person decided to steal everything and knowing my dog, which I consider my son whom I’ve had from 11 weeks old sitting in his cart next to me. Waking up to seeing nothing and calling out my dogs name hoping he was able to get away and sitting there I pulled myself together to call the authorities to get the process of finding my dog started. I can’t begin to describe how much it hurt that day and everyday since so thank you for this website and I’ll keep praying and looking for max. I won’t quit until I have my best friend back where he belongs, with his dad

General information: Set up a scent station. Get a scent that the dog is familiar with out in front of the house. (EX. Worn clothing / shoes from family member dog lives with). Hang it out high so that the smell can travel and guide the dog back home. Keep an access point open in case the dog returns. Please post signs with the dogs' picture and your contact information on the sign. Post these signs all over as if someone spots your dog the person can contact you and provide a location of where the dog is. (Not everyone is on Social Media) Ask your neighbors to check their doorbell or house cameras (if applicable), sheds and garage. Call or go to the Animal Shelter in your area and tell them that your dog is missing and to see if it has been picked up.

Look on the Lakewood and Long Beach Lost and Found Pets page. I think there’s a found post the dog looks like yours. I may have put it up there yesterday or the day before. I just shared this post on that site. Hopefully it’s the same dog. Good luck.

Check the surrounding shelters every day. Not just the one in your city. Someone may have picked the dog up and not live near you, and dropped the dog at the shelter near them. It’s easy to do, go on their websites and scan the pictures. Also, go in person sometimes they hold dogs in the back that are not in the pictures. And make sure you put posters up because not everyone’s on social media.
