He need to create a cent trail back to your house. When my cat went missing my vet encouraged me to put out his favorite toy, bedding, litter box cleaned out or not, all in a fenced in yard or in the garage with the door up just enough for the cat to get in. He also encouraged a huge pillowcase of the owner and some old shoes of the owner along with everything else. He said cats are nocturnal and they will not come out during the day cause they’re afraid or they sleep. Night time or when it’s a dark is when she may show up.
