You have to actively search each day. Be methodical search inside of everything, porches, decks, sheds, garages, drainage ditches, grasses, cars trucks mowers covers for thos machines. Ask neighbors to do same. Walk the same pattern every walk call and listen, pup is scared an probably hiding. Carry bacon, a used bed sheet and drag the linen on the ground this leaves your scent and they can sometimes use it to find home. Ask local vets to post picture and contact info on their websites.
