I'm so sorry that Mittens is missing. Often they haven't gone far from the point of last seen so check with ALL of your neighbors!! If he's an indoor cat he is likely hiding nearby. Research shows that most cats are found within a 6 block radius of the point of last seen. Please ask your neighbors to check their sheds, garages, window wells, under porches, etc. anywhere he may have inadvertently been trapped. It's possible someone took him in thinking that he was a stray. Consider putting missing flyers in your neighborhood. Also check online at the found cats at the shelters near you. Check daily because they are only on a stray hold for a short time before they can be adopted by others. Look for him and call for him after it gets dark (around 8:30pm currently) and around dawn (around 5:30am currently) as that's when they move about. I've heard that they try to return the same way they left so if you can leave a garage door, window, etc. open. If he's microchipped, make sure that your contact information connected to his chip registration is correct! There are mixed opinions on putting out their litterbox. Put out a piece of your clothing and one of his blankets. I've seen scammers replying to lost pet posts saying that they have found the lost pet. If you have to respond by messenger it is a scam. Praying that Mittens is home soon ❤️🙏 Here's a helpful resource: https://youtu.be/g2eCoC63B9I?si=nfyOzi00hC5SNFV

Get out calling Kitty's name especially early and late when it's quiet. Search high and low with a flashlight. Put up posters with number large. Enough to be seen while driving. And post on nextdoor. Com

Set out familiar smells like your worn clothes, favorite bed or blanket. Please post on Nextdoor, if you have not already. Such a great resource. Check the shelters often, both city and ddfl. Also, consider putting up flyers around the area. That’s how I found my sweet boy years ago. Sharing and sending prayers!
