Check local Humane Society, county shelters and local rescues. Also post on Pawboost .com, nextdoor .com and the vets .com plus petco lost and found onlinr. See if there is a Facebook page "lost and found pets of (your county and surrounding counties)... check Humane Society and local animal shelter daily, they usually only give 3 days before adopting out. Post flyers locally and on doors of local businesses who will allow.. Make a sign with photo and place in your yard or apt_condo window if allowed. The more people who see the better. Check local rescues too. Contact your microchip company and flag the chips as lost pets and make sure all your contact info is updated. See if your neighbors have security video with your pet leaving or being picked up.
If you adopted and don't know if microchipped (most are) contact the rescue, shelter, etc and get the microchip info to contact and update.
