Found/Stray Dog in South Strabane Township, PA 15301

This dog was found on a friend’s property on Garber Road off Rout 40. We are taking him to the vet to see if he’s microchipped. He’s so sweet, very gentle taking treats, knows sit and stay. He was found on a rural road, maybe scared off from fireworks… but we were advised from an Animal Rescue to post about him on Facebook while we wait to get him to the vet. We will likely adopt him if we can’t find his owners because I know people in general don’t like to adopt pit bulls… however, we do have a 13 year old lab who doesn’t love other dogs. She doesn’t fight with them but she’s old and I’d feel bad introducing another dog now. They have met, and did great, but long term it’s not the best solution. We also have 5 kids, one is 5 months old. I’m pretty maxed out right now to take on a new dog. But he’s so sweet, we can’t take him to a shelter because I know he likely won’t be adopted and he’s too gentle and kind to go there.
