Appear to be part blue heeler.

Message from Finder

We found this dog running in traffic on the turnpike as we were driving south around mile marker 190 on the Turnpike we safely got him into our vehicle and we are now at the Fort Drum rest area. We attempted to call Okeechobee animal control. They are closed. we’ve asked the Florida highway police to contact their emergency line. We’re gonna stay here for probably another half hour. It’s currently 6 o’clock if nobody shows up, we will take him to our place to be safely. Held overnight in Palm city

Please please take him to Palm city with you. He looks like such a sweetheart, and all of these shelters a.k.a. shelters are full down here. People are dumping dogs left and right although this does not look like a dog that was dumped thank God you got him before he ended up on the side of the road.

Here is the update. We went to the Fort Drum rest area in Okeechobee County. FHP and Road Rangers now have the dog - so anybody that looking for this boy, please contact the Florida highway patrol.
