The vet will be able to tell u ,by the tag and #on the tag ,where and who owns the dog,ask the vet if he could call the owner and let them know where there pet is,so it could go home,my son saved a dog one day from being ran over on hwy,had tags on collar called the vet office and told him the #on the tag ,and he told me .the dogs owner,

Syl Lopez she does have an unregistered chip. Purchased off of amazon so theres no way to get any info. I was also sent the phone # on the tag (which is disconnected) & it comes back to a lady w/ a California address. I tried contacting some of the family members & all of their #'s are disconnected also.
