My sweet boy has been missing for 4-5 days. He’s 11 years old and usually doesn’t leave our yard when he goes outside and always comes right back inside. But last time he went out, he hasn’t came back and I’m so worried about him. I’ve had him all his life since he was born. He only has one eye and not hard to miss. Please if you see him or know where he’s at please let me know!

I'm so sorry to hear this! I'm trained in lost pet recovery and usually start people out with the following: -scent lure home -flyers and posters https://www.facebook.com/share/p/16Uicr9ja8/ -social media alerts (Facebook, Nextdoor, Ring Neighbors and Petco Love Lost) -Alert local animal control, nearby veterinary hospitals and the microchip company if he's chipped -Make sure neighbors THOROUGHLY check their sheds, crawlspaces, under decks, etc.. Anywhere he could be trapped! -Any traps put out MUST BE continually monitored-no animal should be unattended in a trap for longer than a few minutes -A trailing or cat detection K9 could be a useful tool to help narrow down an area to focus your recovery techniques Feel free to contact me if you have questions!

Put out some worn clothing on your porch. Notify all your neighbors he is missing and ask them to check under their decks, house and in their garage and any outbuildings they might have. Put up flyers with his picture and your phone number around your neighborhood. Flyers work. Lots of people have found their cats because neighbors saw their flyers. You might also want to go out and look after dark with a flashlight. They typically don’t stray too far from home.
