Zelda and Comrade have been missing since 9am Zelda is wary of strangers and will bark. Comrade is friendly but cautious as well, will also bark but they are very sweet babies. Please help us find them.

Please, check the homeless camps for your lost dog. Some of the homeless people occasionally like to adopt lost dogs as their own. Alternatively, the homeless will attempt to make friends with a lost dog that has escaped from their home in order to retain the animal. I hope you find your fur baby soon.

I saw a deceased dog yesterday on the south side shoulder of State st. between Howell Prairie and Cordon. When driving by, all I could tell was that it was spotted (mixed colors) and medium to large. At a glance I thought it was a cattle dog. I really hope this is not your baby. 💜 If it’s too hard to go check, I can drive by and take a look, or a picture for you.

General Information: Set up a scent station. Get a scent that the dog is familiar with out in front of the house (EX Worn clothing / shoes from a family member that the dog lives with.) Hang it out high so that the smell can travel and guide the dog back home. Keep an access point open in case the dog returns. Please post signs with the dogs' picture and your contact information on the sign. Post these signs all over as if someone spots your dog the person can contact you and provide a location of where the dog is. (Not everyone is on Social Media). Ask your neighbors to check their doorbell or house cameras (if applicable), sheds and garage. Owners: Do not try and search for the dog - as your scent travels when you are out and walking all over can confuse the dog. The dog should only smell your scent near your home. Never underestimate the ability of a dog to find their way home using their nose. Call or go to the Animal Shelter in your area and tell them that your dog is missing to see if it has been picked up. Prayers your dog is found safely. Beware of scammers.

Post on Nextdoor to reach the many local people who don’t use Facebook. Nextdoor was the site that helped friends and us locate our missing pets when no other site did. It’s free, and has a busy lost snd found pet section. Put up flyers in your neighborhood. Contact nearby shelters and vets to ask if your dogs have been reported seen, or been turned in. Best of luck!

Put up fliers right away. Put your pet's bed and a piece of your clothing from the dirty laundry where you last saw him/her so if your pet comes back they will smell it and stick around. You could also leave food and drink. When you get your pet back, you might want to consider getting an Apple Airtag to put on its collar so you can immediately see where they are. I got one from Amazon for my cat and it tracks her anywhere she goes. Good luck!
