Please file a missing cat report with the Norfolk animal care center. Visit the shelter, two or three times a week to see if she’s been brought in. You can’t call and ask if she’s there because they most likely have a lot of black cats. Tonight after 10 PM go out on your yard with a bag of kitty treats and a flashlight. Walk around your yard calling the cat name and shaking the kitty treats bag. Use the flashlight to look in the bushes to see if you see your cat hiding. Most indoor cats normally don’t stray more than 5 to 7 houses from their own. Print flyers with your cats picture and your contact information and take them around to your neighbors. Ask them to call you if they see your cat. Also ask them if they’ve been in their shed or any out buildings or garage. A cat will go in these areas to hide. If your cat is chipped, please call the registry and make sure your contact information is up-to-date. The shelters do check for a chip when a cat or a dog is brought in. Check under porches and decks, if anyone has a crawlspace, that’s open check there.
