Lori Meyers DiBacco My thoughts exactly, Lori! How many cats go missing every week, most which are never found, starve to death if they survive coyote or dog attacks, all because people stay can you believe they deserve ‘freedom’. Only few seem to be out by accident. It took me 1 hour to train my 2 kiddos to walk on a leash, I take them both out maybe 20 minutes in the morning and early evening, and when it’s cold, five minutes is enough for them and they want to go in the house! It makes my stomach churn when I see another LOST cat. Then makes me sicker when people can’t even take the trouble to go out and look for their cats, and sit at home waiting for someone else to find thei cat for them. 😟

Ines Diazit absolutely breaks my heart too. Why do people let their kitties outside especially this time of year when it’s cold and wet I just wanna cry every time I see one go missing.

I’m so sorry this happened to her. Sad seeing so many kitties go missing 30+, just this week. Poor baby, she must be so scared and hungry out on her own. 🐈 When a cat goes missing, they can’t easily find their way home using only their scent. You must be proactive and look for them. 🔍Look under yours & your neighbor’s cars, bushes & hedges, look for glowing eyes w/flashlight, call her early evening when it’s quiet and they come out from hiding to eat. Posting is important, but please search for her, too. They don’t go far 3-4 houses away, they stay in one place until they are scared off by dogs, coyotes, or loud equipment. The challenge is to find her before she gets any further away. 📣Please hang flyers near the area where she went missing, it’ll get the immediate attention from pedestrians, drivers and your neighbors will know you’re looking for her. 🐈‍⬛ YOU’RE the one that can bring her home safely, she will recognize your voice and your scent. Please check with SDHS Lost & Found daily, post on ND. If you’re able to find her, PLEASE, please don’t let him go outside unattended. Cats have the intelligence of a 3YO. It only takes an hour to train a cat on a leash, then she can be out doors safely. This is Coyote Country.
