6/19 8PM Ann Dee is still missing, all sightings have been in the evening, please keep an eye out. If you live in the area of the sightings (McNeill Rd/Dundee Trail and surrounding in Southern Pines), please also check in bushes, under decks, etc as she may be hiding out. If sighted, please offer calm, patient cues- do not call out for her or chase.

6/18 Update: Ann Dee is still missing and her people are still searching (along with helpful community ♥️), most sightings (of which there have been very few) have been in the evening hours. Please keep an eye out, put out water, consider cooking something good for dinner on the grill tonight and hope we can get her back to safety tonight! Here’s a map of her most recent whereabouts but it’s been over a day so the radius could have grown substantially.

***Start ASAP grilling any smelly meat, bacon, hotdogs Or can use a crock pot outside too! ***Hang outside your sweaty clothes worn today or yesterday. Hang in tree limbs Keep from the rain. Use liquid smoke 2-3 tablespoons in a spray bottle See blue post for instructions Spray in on tree branches Tops of bushes NOT on the ground it’s quite bitter!! Your dog might run away if tasted ***The wind will carry your scent and the meat aroma up your one mile…some dogs 3-5 miles ***Consider a scent trail Wagon wheel shape Do the scent trail up above( black and orange post )… go out far in all direction @ 4-8 houses in all directions to help him find home Cut up your sweaty tshirts into strips 1/2inch wide x 8 inches tie on branches.. telephone poles, street signs, fences Go in every direction like a clock… It’s worked in the past, place the strips 50-100 feet between one another. ***Make color posters, see post. And use water proof markers bright colors…cover with large freezer baggies to avoid getting wet. (Pink post) ***Make a copy of this post and place it in the posters…in your yard Affix to corner of street, tape to street poles… And outside your car Add your telephone number… ***Check neighbors outdoor cameras for clues ***Make color paper copies of this post with your cell number and handout to USPS USP FEDX DRIVERS, Police ( they have eyes on the community.) ***And go to shelter look for your dog’s with your eyes… the shelters are full and busy. Leave a copy, and go every day Bring to local Animal Control make a report…incase they are called by a finder. ***Update if your dog has a chip and is your address/cell phone number up to date, if not CALL your VET or company of chip now.. ***Post her/his pic on Neighbor PawBoost, FaceBook.Neighbor site ***POST IN local newspapers under LOST( it’s free to post) leave your cell number… NOT EVERYONE is tech savvy., Two places non tech savvy finders of your dog look at newspaper and calls to animal control if missing? ***Sadly, check Facebook Marketplace, Craig’s List, and any Neighbor site under For Sale. ( People sell found dogs for money Sent a post of dog trackers too, they have great advice Call advice is free A rescue volunteer Keep you posts up to date so the public can help Sharing🙏🏻
