**update 2: she’s not in great health. We have posted her on every site and reached out to all local shelters and Great Dane rescues all the way up to South Carolina. No room currently. She is with friends who own larger breed dogs and will be caring for as foster until they can figure out next steps. Unfortunately believe she is a puppy mill dog, positive for heart worm, and has a mass on her back leg that could be cancerous. We are doing everything we can to get her healthy and well!

Linsey Tailor Please be very careful who you give her to if people show interest. Dog fighting rings will send sweet little girlfriend-types, or worse yet, sweet little grandmotherly-types to say they want to foster or adopt a dog — only to have them used as bait in dog fights. I know that sounds incomprehensible, but it’s true. A Great Dane rescue would be the best route to take if you can. Blessings.

We've had Danes 30 years and rescued/adopted for 22. Unfortunately, they get dropped often which may be what happened to her. Does she have a growth on her hind hock? Please let me know if no one claims her or steps up to foster. Our sweet old man 2 months ago. We only have 2 now. I am concerned how our female we rescued from abuse would do with her since our older Dane . She's become the dominant one now. Sometimes 2 females do not mix well but we would be willing to try. She needs out of the heat and cared for.

I want her, but my 3 cats & husband need to know. Great Danes rule! How old is she? (Look at her teeth to know). They normally only live about 9 years.
