Go around late at night calling them with food and flashlight to catch their eyes. Check around your neighborhood under houses and in small places where they may hide. Put stuff out that has yours and their scent on it. Mainly their litter box and sprinkle their used litter around the yard as they'll recognize the smell and it'll deter other animals from coming around. Hang flyers around for people to see. Check shelters and vets daily. Update chip info if they have a chip and its has not been update since a move. Ask neighbors to check in their garages incase they ended up trapped in one and to check their cameras in case they appeared on them to get a sense of direction they could be. I pray you get your baby back safe and soon.

Post on all local lost and found pages on Facebook, on Ring/Neighbors and also on Nextdoor app. Put flyers up in the area she was last seen and pass them out to neighbors, delivery drivers and mail carriers. Take flyers to local vet offices, pet stores and feed stores. Ask neighbors to check inside of their garages, sheds or any other outbuildings as she may have accidentally been locked inside of one. Indoor kitties typically do not go far, they get scared and hide close by. Go out late in the evening or early in the morning when it is quieter to call and look for her. Hope she is home safe soon. Be careful with people who say that they can help you find your lost pet or that they used a certain company and they found their pet and then they give you a contact information. Most of those are scams.

LOST CAT OPEN DOOR Scatter the contents of your hoover bag around the outside boundary of your home - they can scent their way home from miles away, using the familiar smell of your home. If putting out clothing make sure that it hasn’t been washed so that it smells of “you”. Going out late at night/ early morning when it is quieter and less noise distraction around will make it easier for you to hear each other’s calls. If you are calling for him make sure you do this as you walk towards your home not away from it so that if he follows the direction of your voice you’re leading him home, not further away. Also ask any neighbours to check their sheds/ outbuildings in case he’s been inquisitive and got trapped inside somewhere. If he is an indoor cat he is likely scared and hiding somewhere very close by - look under/behind any items/objects that he may be seeking shelter from - under bushes, behind bins etc. when searching at night take a torch - the light from its beam will reflect in his eyes and you will be able to spot him even if he doesn’t respond to your calls. Put up posters in all surrounding streets and inform the microchip company that he is missing.Put out water, and some of YOUR dirty clothes (dirty socks are nice and stinky)/blankets (dry in dryer first to enhance smell). Depending on the weather, you might want to put out a plastic tub with straw for shelter. Go out every morning and evening walking (folks seem successful around 10:30 p.m., but don't go alone) with food/treats in bowl rattling it, calling your cats name. Cats are often hiding within a 5-house radius. Do NOT give up. There was a cat a week or so ago, they went out every night for 5 nights, finally on the 5th night, they heard it's meow, it was trapped in a neighbor's shed. Another was hiding in a tree from the neighbor's dogs. Check buildings, bushes, trees, and storm drains around your house. Also in the house/garage, keep all doors/closets OPEN in case it's hiding in the house. If you can, leave door cracked open from which cat would most likely sneak back in during the night. If desperate, sprinkle your urine near the cracked door as stronger scent guidance. Worked for us!

Keep calling I feed all the neighborhood cats sometimes I don’t see one for a month and then they show up my neighbors also feed them and on the other street I see cat food cans open so a lot of people feed them keep calling their name and walk around the entire block of your house I found my cat one street away on a person porch like they own the place 😊 I will look out for your cat too

Cats do not go far. Walk around your house and your closest neighbors and look everywhere!! Behind bushes, up trees. Neighbors back yards. If they won’t let you, ask them to check really good. Check a few times a day especially when it’s getting dark. Call out his name as your walking and checking so to recognize your voice. Keep looking everyday, he’s out there. Even after several weeks. Don’t give up.
