FOUND DOG – Please Share My girlfriend and I found this small dog after spotting it near the intersection of North 5th Street and East Centennial Parkway. We were eventually able to safely catch the dog on North Lawrence Street. A huge thank you goes out to the two other couples who stopped to help. This truly was a team effort involving 6 people in 3 vehicles. It took about five attempts before we were finally able to get the dog to safety. We couldn’t have done it without everyone’s help. We’re not members of many local community groups, so please share this post to help reunite this dog with its owner. We will be temporarily caring for the dog through the weekend. If the owner is not located, we plan to contact animal control and local rescue organizations on Monday or Tuesday when they reopen. To protect the dog, we will not release it to just anyone claiming to be the owner. If you believe this is your dog, please send us recent photos of you or a family member with the dog. We may also ask a few questions to help confirm ownership. If ownership is verified, we will arrange to meet in a public location to reunite you with your dog. Our preference is to meet at your veterinarian’s office or another animal-related location where the dog has previously received care, such as vaccinations or other veterinary services, as this can help further confirm ownership.
