CK PETFINDER DAILY IN ABOUT A WEEK OR MORE AFTER MISSING DAY TO SEE IF UP FOR ADOPTION. PLEASE KEEP CKING SHELTERS IN PERSON. NOT JUST CALLING. EVEN IF CHIPPED, CHECK SHELTER ALSO. SOMEONE CHIPPED CAT WAS FOUND AT A SHELTER. THE CHIP DID NOT SHOW UP WHEN SCANNED.

Put out dogs smell your smelly food it likes asap. Some PB and owners worn clothing. You may need to offer reward so finder returns instead of selling. Not safe for dogs outside alone anymore. Stolen daily. Especially, unaltered pets. There are people who drive around looking for dogs to steal. Post on Nextdoor & For the Love of Louie. Put up flyers up w pic of pet. If not chipped, ck shelters in person every other day. Not found over the phone. Ck shelters even if chipped. Someone found their chip cat at shelter. Alert local police and shelters. Ck craigslist daily for any rehoming/for sale/found posts. Put out dogs smell and your worn clothing. Easier to find if chipped. Put liquid smoke on lawn, dog bed outside on porch, hot dogs with food and water. Unaltered dogs get stolen the most for back yard breeders. Please get dog FIXED, CHIPPED and a TAG with your PHONE NO. If you have a dog at home, take dog for walk and he may find your dog that is missing. Never let old dogs out alone. They get lost.

You should put out some of his food, some of his blankets, toys and anything that has his scent on it. Also set out some clothing that has your family’s scent on it as well. It may help him find his way back home Also, go out at night w/ a flashlight and shine it around. Dogs eyes glow at night, shine it around in the woods by your house, in any garages or sheds, under any decks / porches & under cars etc

All the above advice + Make sure you go to the shelters, animal control, humane societies & every rescue you can think of in person and check for your dog or cat as often as you can. Don’t rely on just calling to check for them. The shelters are understaffed and overwhelmed right now, they may not recognize your dog or cat from al description over the phone. And, put up flers & post on love of louie, next door, etc., etc
