MESSAGE FROM OWNER

‼️‼️please share‼️‼️ I was taking my dog out this evening and his leash broke and he ran out into the street and got hit by a car on Oro Blanco and North Carefree. The car didn’t stop and we lost where my dog took off.. I’m scared he’s seriously hurt and terrified that he doesn’t know his way . He is wearing a blue collar. His name is Future and he is a very friendly dog and is also my support animal so please DM me if you find him‼️‼️

DESCRIPTION

He is a pit bull mix with a brindle coat. His paws are white. He has on a blue collar. Very loving dog.

Posted/pinned at the top of my page is a posting with tips to help find or return a dog. At this Facebook posting there are lots of links to other local Lost and Found Facebook pages to save you time and having to search for them, along with links to places to report found/lost pets. There's a video link on how to catch a loose and normally scared dog (e.g. calling their name – even by the owner - can send them running the other way if in survival mode, don't chase, etc.). There’s also a video link about putting out your dirty laundry so the dog can smell his way home. Dogs can smell up to 11 miles away. In the comments is a diagram of a wagon wheel showing how to lay out a scent trail leading back to your home …do this ASAP. There’s even a facial recognition link for lost and found pets. Plus, many more ideas to help.

General information: Set up a scent station. Get a scent that the dog is familiar with out in front of the house. Hang it out high so that the smell can travel and guide the dog back home. Keep an access point open in case the dog returns. Please post signs with the dogs' picture and your contact information on the sign. Post these signs all over as if someone spots your dog and there is no ID on him/her - the person can contact you and provide a location of where the dog is. (Not everyone is on Social Media) Ask your neighbors to check their Ring camera (if applicable). Call the Animal Shelter in your area and tell them that your dog is missing in case someone is calling with a matching description. Go to the shelter in person. Prayers that your dog is found safely.

Put a scent station outside. Things that smells like your pup and yourself. File a lost dog report with HSPPR. Notify local vets in case he is brought in.
