Create a scent station (items with your/your cat’s smell - unwashed bedding, clothing, cat tower, etc. Especially important if cat is in new/unfamiliar area. Do NOT put out litter pan as feces often used to mark territory and may inadvertently attract predators or territorial cats.). Check it often, especially when things are quiet (late evening/early morning). Leave the garage door open 5” overnight. Check nearby Ring/security cameras in the area. Check in and under everything inside and outside with a flashlight. Cats don’t usually go far and freeze in a tight ball in very small, tight, dark areas when scared. The flashlight catches their eyes’ stare, especially at night. Thoroughly check inside your home, especially if this is a new/shy/scared pet. Post on NextDoor app as it covers your local neighborhoods. Be sure to check your local animal shelter in person at least every other day (can’t stress enough - in person!!! You know your pet best plus animals constantly brought in). If your cat is not spayed/neutered, may be why it is “lost” and traveling further. Hope your pet is home safe and soon. I'm so sorry that Diva is missing. Often they haven't gone far from the point of last seen so check with ALL of your neighbors!! If she is an indoor cat she is likely hiding nearby. Research shows that most cats are found within a 6 block radius of the point of last seen. Please ask your neighbors to check their sheds, garages, window wells, under porches, etc. anywhere she may have inadvertently been trapped. It's possible someone took her in thinking that she was a stray. Consider putting missing flyers in the neighborhood and on the doorstep of any neighbors you don't get to talk to. Ask neighbors to check their Ring cameras. I've helped a few neighbors track down their missing cats. All of them were found just a few blocks away. Also check online at the found cats at the NoCo Humane Society. https://www.nocohumane.org/lost-found-pets/stray-cats-2/ Check daily because they are only on a stray hold for a short time before they can be adopted by others. Look for them and call for them after it gets dark (around 9pm currently) and around dawn (around 5am currently) as that's when they move about. I've heard that they try to return the same way they left so if you can leave a garage door, window, etc. open. If she's microchipped, make sure that your contact information connected to her chip registration is correct! There are mixed opinions on putting out their litterbox. Put out a piece of your clothing and one of her blankets. I've seen scammers replying to lost pet posts saying that they have found the lost pet. If you have to respond by messenger it is a scam. General Information: Set up a scent station. Hang clothes with your scent on it (Worn clothing from owner) high up outside so the familiar scent can travel and guide the cat back home. NO LITTER BOX OR FOOD. Ask your neighbors to check their yard/could be accidently stuck in their garage or shed. (If applicable) Check doorbell or home camera - or ask neighbors to check their camera. Post Fliers with a picture of the cat and your contact information in the area the cat went missing. Not everyone is on Social Media and posters have worked in that if spotted a location can be provided. If a cat is scared they make themselves safe by finding a good hiding spot and often times hide in silence. Look in bushes - bring a flashlight and look for shining eyes. Best time to find your cat is in the early morning hours when the noise level is low and they feel safe. Leave an access point open for the cat to return. This is important if they do come back in the middle of the night. Prayers your cat returns/ or is found safely. Beware of scammers.

Please post cross streets. Get out calling Kitty's name especially early and late when it's quiet. Search high and low with a flashlight. Put up posters with number large enough to be seen while driving. And post on next door.

***POST NEXTDOOR, RING NEIGHBORHOOD, PETCO LOVE LOST Check ✔️ Humane Society, Animal Shelters In-Person DAILY. Some Keep Pets 5 Days then put up for Adoption. Boots on the ground - Walk ur neighborhood check window wells, under decks, inside bushes, sheds, garages, dumpsters, under staircases. Indoor Cats don't go far, usually close by. Others hide during the day and roam @ night when it's quiet. Shake bag of cat food or treats, walking, calling by name, saying are u hungry, Bring a flashlight, search day & night. Knock on doors. Post Flyer's on neighbor's doors
