Kitty won’t be far. Put food out, Put some worn clothing in the yard, some toys/blankets, empty vacuum, keep windows open. My indoor kitty got out a few months ago and was gone for almost 48 hours. It seemed like an eternity! I learnt from many and researched and it’s accurate that an indoor cat will stay within a 3-5 house radius and my kitty was exactly that far. Which wasn’t far at all!! He was just too spooked to come back home. You have to be consistent, go for walks especially after dark calling his/her name softly, have a flashlight as you will see his/her eyes. I made posters and put in all my neighbours mailboxes, ask them to look in their yards and under decks. 2 neighbours saw him at the exact same spot and the other night when I went for my walk to look for him I saw him dart into someone’s driveway, under a vehicle and then ran up on their deck. I walked slowly with treats talking softly to him(like I would at home) within seconds he knew who I was and came to me and let me pick him up ♥️ The night I found him I actually had just set up a trap and I am sure he would have came through the night. But I found him before that. Good luck!!
