They hide close to home but come out at night looking for food. Put out used litter box, some of her food and also something smelly and fishy like canned sardines. Mine who was scary cat and timid came back the next night around 10 pm and I happened to see her at the front door. When I opened the door she ran away and I couldn’t get her back. So we propped front door open and made a trail of sardine pieces into the house from the front porch. We sat hiding until 2 am when she came back and ate the small fish pieces walking into the house. And closed the door behind her. She was totally freaked and looked to run out.... it seemed like it took a while before she felt comfortable and realized she was home. So if your cat is like that you have to be careful not to scare her away. You’d think the cat would recognize us but I think so petrified she did not. They hide during the day but come out late at night to hunt for food.

She probably didn't go far and is near by hiding because she is scared. Are you sure she isn't hiding in the garage? Check the outside perimeter of your house, under bushes and flowers, decks and porches Put her used litter box outside so she can pickup her scent, maybe an article of your clothing too. Leave garage door open so she can retrace her steps back home. Are you sure she's not hiding in house, behind or under furniture or appliances. Could she have got locked in a closet, basement, a cabinet or attic? Praying for her safe return.
