Anjali Choksi are you close to this area? They located where the cat is hiding but she’s not coming out. Do you have a trap to lend to them so they can try to trap her 🙏

Josie Frazzetto Hi, we've located where she's hiding, and she's refusing to come out, even with treats and wet food offered. I know you are connected with a few local cat rescues. Can any of them help us trap her tonight? Or lend us a couple of traps to use between dusk and dawn tonight? Your help is much appreciated. I will have Jason Thibault DM you our address and location.

Josie Frazzetto Thanks very much, Josie I distributed 80 colour flyers yesterday at 5pm for all of the surrounding buildings near me and behind me. I put soiled litter outside right away, away from the rain last night. And another item she uses is also out there. Food and water has been left out for her. The back door is open and clear. As she’s an indoor cat, it’s 95% that I’m going to have to find her, so I’ve been getting permission from neighbours to search their yards and under their decks and steps with a flashlight. I have her favorite 2 treats with me. And due to this unfortunate situation, I now am talking with all of my neighbors, they have flyers and they see me out there every few hours. She is already posted on SPCA, PawBoost, Berger Blanc has a poster, my neighbourhood FB group, Missing Pets Plateau. And my vet (very close by) has a poster and her microchip number noted. And thank you for reminding me about Proanima Montreal. And thank you for all of the other tips.

Very important to put up flyers in and around the area (for people not on FB). Even place them inside mailboxes. These steps must be done right away and must be done everyday 🙏 Place a bit of her soiled litter outside, not the full litter box (sheltered from the rain, so not to get it wet). But don’t leave it outside overnight. It may attract other animals. Place a blanket or a piece of clothing with her scent on it outside as well. She may be able to smell her own scent and find her way home 🤞 Put out her food and a water bowl, in the same place everyday. You want her to stay close by. But don’t leave the food out when it’s night, bring it back inside. If possible, leave an exit door or window opened so your cat can get back inside (while keeping other cats in the house safe in a closed room). You need to go out looking for her early mornings and late nights, calling her name and bring her favorite treats. She must be scared and hiding close by. But do not walk too far from your house, you do not want her to follow the sound of your voice and be that much further away from home. You want her to stay close by 🤞 Tell neighbors to look out for her, to check under and inside their sheds, garages, under balconies, etc… I would strongly suggest to ask your neighbours if you can go in their backyards and check for your cat yourself. Someone lost their cat and found her weeks later stuck inside a Cabano, not alive 😔 You should open a missing cat file with the Montreal SPCA and Proanima Montreal. If your cat is found and brought there, they will contact you. Also, join Petluck Group and post her on that group as well: https://www.facebook.com/groups/Petluck/?ref=share
