Message from Owner

My boy has been missing for a week and I have been looking everywhere. He is an indoor cat and with the rain lately I have been so worried about him. Please contact if you see him.

Put out something that he's familiar with that carries his scent (a bed, a blanket but NOT a litterbox). CALL FOR HIM IN THE QUIET, STILL HOURS (11pm-7am). THIS IS SO IMPORTANT (5am seems to be the luckiest hour)!!!!!!! Scared cats move around while the rest of the world is still. Put out food in intervals (not at night) when you can keep an eye out. Talk to your neighbors, generally, they don't go far and find an open garage or shed to huddle down. If these suggestions don’t work: lost pet cats may not respond the way you’d expect your beloved kitty to and they may not just come to your calling so be prepared to have to use a humane trap (he will return to himself once he’s back inside) and put signs in your local pet store (if someone takes him in they will need litter and food). I hope you find him 🍀

Awww, he is so adorable. Indoor cats that get outside don't usually go far. He's probably scared and hiding/seeking shelter nearby. Keep checking under nearby porches, decks, shrubs and in garages and sheds. Best times to search and call for him are at dusk and dawn. Shake his treat bag while calling his name. Starting now and each day until he's home, in late afternoon/early evening, put canned tuna/fishy canned cat food outside your door and watch for him. The fishy food is important because they can smell it from farther away and hopefully he will come back around from wherever he's hiding. Also put out fresh water and something with his scent on it. Let your neighbors and mail carrier know that he's missing so they can be on the lookout for him. Put flyers up in the area. Post on Toledo and Surrounding Area Lost and Found Pet page to get the word out. Sharing and praying for sweet Figaro to be safe and home very soon.
