OMG looks exactly like my dog. I recommend when you get him back to contact Crumb a company that puts GPS on tag that attaches to a collar as chips really don't work as well For $7 a month. You'll know where your dog is anywhere in the country it'll give you a direct GPS location of where your dog is . I suggest you do this.
