Moon got out today near Hawk Nest Way apmts off Fremac Drive. He’s skiddish and probably won’t come up to anyone but even if you see him please contact us!!

Please file a missing cat report with Virginia Beach animal control. If the cat is chipped, make sure the registry has your current contact information. This is at the shelter several times a week to see if your cat has been brought in. Cats can be missing for months and they return home. It can be a case of someone thinking your cat was a stray and taking him in. Tonight after 10 PM, go out of your yard with a bag of kitty treats and a flashlight. Walk around your yard calling your cat’s name is shaking the kitty treats bag, use the flashlight to look in the bushes to see if you see your cat. Print flyers with your cats picture and your contact information and take them around your neighbors asking them to call you if they see your cat. Also ask them if they have been in their shed, out building or garage.  Cats will hide in one of those places and cannot get out once the door is closed, you cannot hear a cat crying to get out of the structure unless you’re standing right next to it. Look under porches, decks, and any structure with an open crawlspace.
