Sandy Tavares Never leave anything out with the cat’s scent on it, as it attracts the coyotes!🙏🏼💔🐾😭

Kevin Maclary Cat’s are not attracted to their own scent, but the coyotes are! If coyotes are attracted to the cat’s litter box that means they are definitely attracted to anything else that has the cat’s scent on it!

Kevin Maclary It’s not a lie. Anything containing the cat’s scent can alert and acquaint predators to the cat’s scent , making it that much easier for them to locate and hunt the kitty. It is best to use articles (worn clothing of the human family members of the cat) and place them high on tree branches nearby as the wind can carry the scent farther. Please note that these suggestions come from long study, research, and information gathering and are recommend by most animal rescues and welfare organizations! 🙏🙏

.Please place its bedding 🛏 outside, along with the owner's unwashed clothing👚👖 front and back door 🚪with a contents of tuna 🐟 on each entrance, you can leave your garage door a bit open as well. In case it comes in that way. And leaving food there as well...supervise food outdoors. Also vacuumed home 🧹dirt in a stocking hanging it in front and back of home🏡 enterence . You can also add some catnip 🌱in a stocking hanging by your entrances. Show your neighbors 🖼picture of the cat. Ten houses to the left ten house to the right front and back if they spot him to give you a call☎️ immediately. Go early in the ☀️morning and shake treats calling the cats name when things are quiet.. Tell neighbors to check their sheds and garage.Just in case it's trapped.. Also, you can install a camera 📹to monitor and see if the cat is around your house . You can even ask your local animal shelter to rent out safe trap and monitor it.. Best of luck 🍀finding your kitty 🙏 ❤️🏡🐾

Check in bushes and under cars near your home, and check on the next street over, especially in the evening with a flashlight, calling out to him and making a familiar sound. Ask neighbors if they might have seen him, and when they last did if they have. Ask them if he might be trapped in their garage or shed. I hope he is found soon🙏🏻

Please report your kitty as lost to OC Animal Shelter in case someone turns him into them. Also post him on Nextdoor & Ring. Indoor cats are usually close to home within 3 houses away. After checking all possible hiding places in your home, hang clothes with your scent out. Scent only - no food or litter box. Ask your nearby neighbors to look in their yards, bushes, garages and outdoor cameras to see if he is there. Post fliers with the cat’s pic and your contact information on it around the area he is missing so if he is spotted, the person can tell you his location. Keep an access point open for him to slip back in your home. Look in bushes or hiding spots around your home as if this cat is unfamiliar with being outdoors, he is most probably scared of all the new sounds and smells and will make himself safe by finding a hiding spot. Sometimes the best time to find your cat is when the noise level is low - after hours - or early morning hours. Take a flashlight and look for the shining eyes. I also recommend playing a YouTube video on your phone of meowing cats turned up full blast right outside of your home, as cats are drawn to hearing other cats nearby. Buy or borrow a humane cat trap, time is of the essence!🙏🏻❤️🐾

Kevin Maclary Never put anything outside with the cat’s scent on it, as it attracts the coyotes unfortunately!
